Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Jessica Hatch My most recent book, the forthcoming How to Keep a Husband for Ten Days, was inspired initially by the close friendships I made living in a historic building in Downtown Jacksonville in my twenties. Those friendships formed my ensemble cast. Now I needed a conflict for our couple to go through. I wanted the novel to be wrapped up thematically in the growing pains we endure whenever we have a long-term relationship, be it platonic or romantic, and that's what this fauxmance/second-chance/found family concoction aims for!
