Jay Fortune I have yet to experience this and I've been writing for 20 years. I think my other creative pursuits as an artist and magician all help me switch focus to keep the energy flowing.

I mentioned in a previous answer how I wrote a story recently about writers block as a way to fend off any lurking demons... one way to overcome it would perhaps be to write about that very process. The act of writing in itself, may shift any blocks.

I love to read and good writing inspires me to write.
Jay Fortune It started with one clear, simple image - a young girl throwing an apple to her father who was mysteriously floating in the sky above her.

Interestingly, that image never made it into the final book!

I think my previous career as a magician and my current career as an artist, allows me to play with perception, question the nature of reality and write visual scenes as they appear in my imagination like finished paintings.
