I go for walks in the cemetery. What if I came across a total stranger? What will I say if he asked me out? He maybe handsome but not from my neighborhood. He dresses in a strange fashion. Should I be friendly? Maybe he emerged from one of the graves. Yes there could be a story here.

I watch murder mysteries on Netflix or BritBox. Sometime I get ideas but I don’t like to copy others. So I try to think differently. Look from a different angle.

I don’t wait for inspiration. I have a routine that I follow everyday. Early morning I jot ideas down for my novels. I write chapters in my notebook and then polish them up in my iPad.

I make a habit of writing every day in the morning. This way my ideas keep flowing. Even if my mind is blank, I jot in my notebook questions such as -what if my protagonist.....

Within an hour, I have two pages written- good or bad. Then I work on the bad ideas and improve them.
