The best thing I've done in dealing with writer's block is work to re-edit the section before the block started. Sometimes reviewing the chapter before I became stuck gives me options for how to get "unstuck". Whether that means introducing different characters or adjusting a story arc, it can be really helpful to trace your steps backwards to build the story you want at the end of the book.

Hi Alexa! I am working hard on the second book and am just about finished with the first part now. As it stands I'll follow the same three-part structure for the second book so it could be a little time before I am done with the initial manuscript, but I have a much better grasp on the overall story than I did for the first book which should help me finish faster than before. All that is to say I want the book out by next spring, but that could change. Thanks for asking!
