K. O'Kelly I pulled from various things for this book. I am originally from Washington State, though I've lived in Florida for years now. I love various types of Billionaire Boss books, from the sweeter side like mine, to the darker. I wanted to dip my toes into the author world on the lighter side and with the Seattle setting a sweet Billionaire boss trope was perfect and fit with that and what I love. The characters came from a little bit of everything, my life, people I know and what I find attractive in men. Banter in a relationship is one of my favorite things, both in my personal life and in books. I love the back and forth and that inspired Gabe and Ava's relationship.
K. O'Kelly I thought I answered this but apparently it didnt submit. lol. Ever since I was a kid, the one place I always wanted to be was Narnia. I want to walk through my closet and feel the snowflakes caress my cheeks. Have tea with fauns and fight epic battles.

Since then, another world I'd love to go is the Wizarding World. Anything is possible with magic.
K. O'Kelly I'm not sure I have a mystery in my life per say, but I put a little of myself in my books. Whether it's good, bad or ugly. Whether its a personality trait of mine or a flaw, a passion or a dislike. I think it's in evitable to put something of yourself in there. It could be a location or a character or just the overall idea for the book itself that perhaps means something to the author. I do a lot of these things sprinkled around.
When I give my book to the world to read and judge, I give piece of my identity, my soul.
K. O'Kelly I never really have a seasonal reading list. I just read whatever I'm in the mood for. And I'm forever reading. I squeeze it in during the day on my breaks at work and reward myself at night once I've reached my word goal for the day. Romance is of course my favorite but I read a vast variety of genres and tropes. It all depends on my mood and I tend to go on long tangents with them.
K. O'Kelly One of the places I've always wanted to go to is Narnia. Though Harry Potter's world is definitely up there now too. I love the magic, mystery and creatures. I feel I'd fit in places like those. "We're all a little strange and unusual."
K. O'Kelly So far I haven't struggled with this. I've had a focus issues here and there when easily distracted by social media or my book being launched. Everything takes a lot of attention and sometimes your brain is burnt out and you need a break. So I take one and try not to beat myself up over it. I'll make it up later.
K. O'Kelly Knowing that... hey.. I did that and I can do it again. Oh, look! I am doing it again. If people read it and love it, that's icing on the cake. But I'm fulfilled just having done it and putting it out there.
K. O'Kelly Just do it. Only you can stand in your way. Don't worry about how long it is or how good it is. Just write! Everything can be fixed in the editing phase. You can flesh out the book a little more, fix the errors or plot holes. So just take the plunge. It doesn't matter how much it may or may not sell, it matters that you did it. You! And that it made you happy.
K. O'Kelly I am currently finishing up the writing of book 2 in the BBoS triology. I also have a general outline for a new series that I'll begin as soon as book 3 is finished to be released shortly after. I am about to start focusing on the plot outline for book one in that series.
K. O'Kelly It's been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I just never had the faith in myself to even try. I never felt I had a story in me to tell. What made me go ahead and do it was a combination of things. My boyfriend has told me many times that I need to write because I love books so much. Growing up I was told I should because I was such a story teller. I started ARC and BETA reading for indie authors and made friends. I was excited and talking about it and the boyfriend pushed me more to try, with encouragement from one of my dearest author friends, I finally said. Okay! What will it hurt if I try? I surprised myself. The words came pouring out and I know I'll only get better the more I do it.
