Hey Haylee! So sorry I missed this question! My best advice is to just focus on getting whatever story you have in your head written knowing it's not going to be perfect and will need some work (unless you are a prodigy who knows!) I thought writing the book was the hard part but that comes after. Finding a good editor, getting a catchy professional looking cover, marketing, or querying if you want to go traditionally published, etc. But none of that matters if you don't have a story first. 😉

For me, writer's block means I haven't come up with an integral part of the story and it is preventing me from carrying on. Usually, I just need more time to think of how I want that part to go. If I can't think through it myself, I'll turn to my wife or other authors to get their input on what option would be best for the story. Sometimes all you need is a fresh perspective.

I am currently working on the next book in the Otherside Series: Relics of Power. I'm about 10,000 words in. I'm super excited about this next book in the series. The reader gets introduced to Os in a much more intimate way through the vampire side of things. I'm also working on the 2nd book in the Alius and love series entitled: Fangs of Gold. It is Helen the witch's story and how she met Hendrick the werewolf.

My dental assistant said she wanted a love story about a vampire mermaid princess. So I said I can make that happen. And that is how Ocean's Edge and the whole Alius and Love Series came to be.
