I think they can be helpful and insightful, but books, like any art medium, is subjective. Every review, one-star or five-star, is simply one person's opinion about why they liked/disliked the book.

My current wip is only about 20,000 words so far, but I am so excited as I'm writing it. I will not give details, as this is a very original and unique twist for the genre. I will release more details as it gets closer to publication date, which will not be until October 2023.

I have book 1 of my 8-book series coming out in December. Courting Fate is an epic fantasy, using familiar tropes in a unique way. I loved writing my OTP and their story, along with the battles, balls, magic, and more. There is political intrigue, forbidden love, life-changing secrets, and more.

Ignore reviews. Positive reviews are great, and they will help introduce your book to other readers. Negative reviews will be one of two types, either someone simply did not care for your book (and no matter how you change/fix it, you will not appease them) or someone will go on the attack because they are dealing with their own issues. I am grateful for every honest review, but I do not let them affect my writing.
