Kat Mitropoulos My two goats were eating outside one day, and I started to think about their complicated relationship, and from them, I built the main characters for my story.
Kat Mitropoulos I am inspired by literally everything. My first unpublished book was inspired by an Antonín Dvorák song and The Problem With Mortals was inspired by my two goats. I guess my point is never limit yourself on what can inspire you.
Kat Mitropoulos Trying not to write a sequel to The Problem With Mortals...I have too many ideas from where we left off.
Kat Mitropoulos Just write for yourself for a while. Don't feel like everything you work on has to be published immediately. Have fun and work out the kinks before the world reads it.
Kat Mitropoulos Getting to create something out of nothing.
Kat Mitropoulos I don't see it as writer's block, if I do, I'll get discouraged and probably cry. Rather I view it as a moment to take a step back and clear my head, take a walk, and talk it through with my sister if need be. You're 'blocked' for a reason. Something in your story isn't working, and rather than just pushing through, the best thing is to stop and get perspective.
