Forcing my existential dread on people. =) Actually, coming from a filmmaking background, one of the best things about writing is that I don't have to worry about a production budget. It takes millions of dollars to make and distribute a film. A book is so much simpler: my imagination and my keyboard.

Just write. Don't make it so formal or high stakes. Just put words on paper in whatever way you want. I was lucky to earn a degree in story telling (film) but really, it's as simple as writing like you speak and then editing from there.

I am currently working on a classic diamond heist style mystery. Each chapter is timestamped and the book is intended to be read in any chapter order that the reader wants there by revealing information in a different order different readers.

I read. And I have always had a "I can do that" mentality. If I see someone doing something, I convince myself that I could probably figure it out myself. This applies to many aspects of my life allowing me to accomplish a lot of things at a fairly young age: travel, business, two advanced degrees, and several hobbies, including writing. I often pick up a book, read a few pages, and then set it down so I can go write myself!
