I recommend getting a professional editor to check your work before publishing. It really improves the quality of your writing and makes it more accessible to readers. If you can't afford one then try to get another writer to Alpha read it for free.

I take a break and do something else for a while. For example I might read a book, watch a series on Neflix or do some sports such as cycling or ice-skating. If I'm struggling with a particular scene I might do some more research on the subject.

I'm currently revising my fantasy romance novella 'Tiriyanin's Riddles', set in the same universe as my anthology book. It's story of Emperor Tiriyanin and his complex polyamorous relationship with two mistresses, Skaraila and Akrila. The lovers’ happiness is wrecked by a series of tragic events threatening to destroy the life they tried to build together. I'm hoping to publish it later this year. I'm also writing the prequel novel, a fantasy war epic called 'A War of Blood, Mountains and Sand'.

My inspiration comes from a range of different sources including books I've read and personal experience. My stories live in my head until I'm compelled to write them down. Writing also provides me with a good distraction from the every day life, it can be therapeutic at times.

'Tiriyanin's Riddles' is inspired by the history of ancient Rome and the novel 'Empress Orchid' by Anchee Min.

I would travel to J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth and spend with the Elves either in Rivendell or Lothlórien.
