E.R. Munley Lol How much time do you have? As an English teacher by day, I'm constantly reading. If we're sticking with series:

The Ember in the Ashes Series by Sabaa Tahir
Anything written by Sarah J Maas
Wicked series by Piper Lawson (honestly, any of her books)
Letters of Enchantment (Duet) by Rebecca Ross
Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris
Anything written by Rick Riordan
Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver
Anything written by Karina Halle

I'll stop there because I could do this forever :)
E.R. Munley I read A LOT of fantasy and dystopia, so I'm not sure traveling to any of them would be ideal lol. If it's a contemporary novel, I'll go anywhere!
E.R. Munley I like a good mix of mindless, fluffy reads and more serious one. I usually take a literal bag of books home with me from my classroom at the end of the school year! I know I'm going to work through a few series at have been on my TBR awhile, so checking out my currently shelf during that time period is the best way to figure out what I'm working on.
E.R. Munley I read...a lot. I tend toward fantasy and sci-fi as genres, and I find world building to be super fun and satisfying. I usually start with the setting for this reason. I like fully understanding a place before I start putting people into it.
E.R. Munley Sharing stories with other people and letting the characters live outside of your own head
E.R. Munley This book came out of a joking conversation with my friend (and no cowriter) Ruth Sanger. We just tossed ideas around and we're like "man we should write a book together". That conversation my brain latched onto and now it's a trilogy!
E.R. Munley Edits for Book 2 of the Statera Cycle mostly. I've also begun writing my first solo project t.
E.R. Munley Get yourself a dependable support system. They will build you up when you need it most! Also, don't let the query process stop you. If no one is biting on the story, publish it anyway. There are so many resources out there.
E.R. Munley We do a lot of arguing. In the past. I've written side stories for the characters, tried to just sit and force the words, reread what I've written, listen to music, watch my favorite shows from the same genre. Mostly, I step away and read.
