Who waits for summer?! I read all year long. My newest obsession is prowling the Amazon top 100 free books and looking for ones that could use a boost. I want to support independent authors.
But it's also self-serving because (without the polish from an editor or publicist) I can see the mechanics and gears of storytelling and world-building. It's fascinating. *Nerdy but nice*

For *years*, I've been getting phone calls for Rene Lima. When they shopped online for car insurance, when they wanted to refinance their home, when they left their car for tire rotation, it was MY number they left as a contact. The calls comes in waves. I'll get two or three in a day, and then none for a month.
I've racked my brain thinking of anyone I'd offended enough to start this harassment.
Then, I decided it's the perfect way for a future me to communicate with a current me. It's lottery numbers.
For fun, when I get a call that's not for me, but for Rene, I rush online to plug them into Publishers Clearing House.
I haven't won yet, but it brightens my day to imagine that it's possible.
