Dane A. Reid Atlantis. It has been used in so many different books. And now in the movies. Although with what we are doing to our oceans, I might want to travel to space. I hear Enceladus is nice this time of year.
Dane A. Reid My most recent book "Forget Having Kids. I'm Having Fun" has always been in the back of my mind but was put toward the forefront during covid lockdowns. I was inspired to write because I was speaking to parents and witnessing the difficulties that they faced that people like myself, weren't challenged by. I considered myself lucky, but had always considered myself lucky and started documenting my many reasons that parenthood just wasn't right for me. The reasons were usually based on funny conversations I had with my parent friends where we joked about all things parenthood. They inspired and encouraged me to write this book.
Dane A. Reid Through conversation. I talk to people about a lot of subjects and the things that I share a passion for with others, are what I write about. My art is an expression of human interaction.
Dane A. Reid Currently I am working on getting my book in the hands of as many people as I can. The biggest struggle is helping people realize that this book has a wide audience beyond the childfree community. It was inspired and encouraged by parents.
Dane A. Reid Figure out why anyone beyond your friends and family would want to buy your book. And remember, people do judge a book by it's cover (and title).
Dane A. Reid The Fame and the Fortune. Of course, it's not. Writers are artists and artists take joy in sharing their work. The pleasure is in enjoying people reading your work and connecting with your art. It's the same for visual artist who watch admirers taking in their paintings or sculptures at a museum. Or a music artist witnessing a stadium full of fans singing their songs alongside them at a concert. Writers write our art on pages for the fans.
