I had this weird idea about a crazy apocalypse and how everyone needed some place safe. Instead of an all powerful wizard or army-destroying warrior there would be this guy that could go around making safe zones and renting them out to get rich.
That morphed into The Fortifier.

My brain concocts some random scenario or I get curious about some crazy "what if" and I keep following wherever it goes. I wish I had some brilliant story or analogy but the truth is I daydream constantly and the story springs from those thoughts.

Write what you want and write everyday even if it's just a page.

First is making a reader happy. The good feels you get from writing something someone likes are amazing, and they make all the time spent writing, editing, correcting, and finding out you still didn't edit enough worth it. Then I would have to go with creating new worlds or altering our existing one to tell a story.

I've been fortunate not to have true writers block. I do have to spend sometime getting into the heads of the characters and trying to see how they would think and react in a realistic way.
