Usually someone I know in real life has a unique personality or a strong aversion and I ponder what it would be like if they were forced to face that version in a fantasy setting. For example, one deer friend cannot stand children. I am now writing a zombie western about a womam forced to care for a kid who absolutely loaths the idea.
