I decided I wanted to write the summer of 1998 when I couldn't find anything to read. My first book took over 20 years to finish because I dabbled, mostly writing during my summer vacations.
My love of writing was re-ignited in the summer of 2017 and I have tried to spend at least an hour a day writing or something writing adjacent.

I don't think I've had writer's block. Occasionally, I stop a story for a couple of days while I wait for it to become clear. When that happens, I go back and work on earlier parts of the story to make it better or work on another story at a different stage of revisions/editing/polishing/outlining.

My current book, Rebels and Saints: Chasing Freedom, is the third book in my dystopian train-hopping adventure series and it came from thinking about the Doomsday seed bunkers and the mountains of garbage we're leaving in our world. I had no idea it was still happening, but there is a modern train-hopping vagabond culture still alive and well.
