Isabella Renee One Last Stop, Boyfriend Material ONE AND TWO, I Wish You All The Best, Washington: A Life
Isabella Renee I read others works, I watch television, I walk my dog... but my favorite is calling my best friend, who is also a writer, and equally complain about how we should be writing. When they're writing, I feel inspired to write and push myself and vice versa.

One of the more popular ways is to see what others are creating and pull inspiration from it.
Isabella Renee I found some beautiful lesbian fanart on Pinterest and worked on the idea for a week after.
Isabella Renee Just do it. The only thing standing in your way is your fear of striking out, your procrastination, but ultimately yourself. No one else is going to do it for you, so do the research. Write the book, write whatever fills your brain with serotonin. I understand the fear, I get so butthurt when someone tells me no in this industry but that doesn't mean you stop. You try again, and again and again, however many times it takes for you to find just one person who will tell you yes. Bonus points if you make the people who told you no before feel sorry for themselves because now you're published and everyone will love what you've created.
Isabella Renee There are a few.
1. Writing about trauma I have personally dealt with in hopes of finding others who can relate to it and not feel as though they are alone.
2. Being able to create little worlds to escape into, I like being able to forget all the bad stuff sometimes.
3. It's one of the bigger ways I can connect with what I feel. Why tell a therapist when you can create a character who murders people based off of your own childhood trauma? (Though I think this one more ties into reason number one)
4. I only write queer romances, I belong to the gays and if nothing else, the best thing in the world is to create things for our community to hold onto.
Isabella Renee Writers block is a bit subjective, I know writers who always know what they want to write and have no issue doing so and I've met others who get it all the time. Personally, it depends on the topic I'm writing about. My first novel I finished in a month and had no issue getting through it, my second novel (not picked up yet) I wrote in under two weeks and just didn't stop writing until I was done, however... the novel I am working on NOW... It's been two weeks and I've maybe written one sentence. The novel I'm working on now requires deep research into Greek Mythology and I'm trying to somehow make murder funny, it's difficult and I'm struggling with loads of writers block.
Isabella Renee I have recently submitted a new novel to my publisher and I am currently working on a modern take of a blind woman who falls in love with Medusa.
