Scott Oden Sadly, I doubt it. The company that did the first two opted not to return for the third, citing poor sales.

Hello Sir! One question. Do you know if and when Twilight of the Gods (Grimnir #2) will come out in Paperback?
Scott Oden Hi Yiannis! I don't have a solid date for the paperback, as of yet, but it's usually around the time the next book releases. So, look for it sometimes around the release date for The Doom of Odin (which is probably summer or fall of 2022).

I've seen The Lion of Cairo listed as #1 of a series (some mention a trilogy) on various websites/reviews online. Is that correct or is it written as and meant to be a stand-alone? Thanks!
Scott Oden Hi! It was meant to be the first in a trilogy, but sales were such that the publisher decided not to pursue it. And after such a resounding flop, I've not found it in me to continue the tale. It's a fairly self-contained story, but with a few dangling threads (including the lack of comeuppance for the primary villain).

Hello sir - As a fan of the ancient world, I have enjoyed Men of Bronze and Memnon immensely! I've searched high and low for Serpent of Hellas, but it does not seem to be available anywhere. Was it just a short limited run? Will we ever see another edition come into print? Are you planning any more books set in ancient Greece or Egypt? In any case, thanks for the many hours of enjoyment you've given me so far!
Scott Oden Hi Jeff! Glad you liked Men of Bronze and Memnon! As for Serpent of Hellas, it was never published. It has a great cover, and listings here at Goodreads and at Amazon, but I never wrote more than a couple of chapters on it. It got caught up in the unfortunate hiatus I took from writing in 2009/2010 and I just never went back to it. But, the good news is I DO plan on returning to the ancient world once I finish up my current contract. I have an idea for a Peloponnesian War epic, as well as something about Euripides and the Greek theatre . . .

Hello Sir ! I just finished A Gathering of Ravens and let me say, I love you....er..um..I mean I love the book ;) It's brilliant ! When is the release date for Twilight of the Gods? According to your blog "It’s due on my agent’s desk by 31 October 2017." but when will we be able to get it into our grubby little hands? And are there any chances it/they will be made into movies? Please?
Scott Oden Hi Emelia! Glad you liked it! As for Twilight of the Gods, there's no release date just yet, and I've revised my deadline to December 31. With any luck it'll be out and in your grubby little hands by this time next year :)

I WISH someone would option this and make a movie! So far, though, no takers . . .

Mister Oden! I wanted to read your short stories, Sanctuary and Amarante. Someone in the review section said that they were both on DriceThruFiction but I can't seem to find them on there. My local bookstore and the online Kobo store doesn't have them either. Is there some way I could acquire them from somewhere else?
Scott Oden Hi Mikos! "Amarante" has been acquired by a new quarterly magazine of speculative fiction called SKELOS (http://skelospress.com/) and should be appearing in their second issue. "Sanctuary" is no longer available, though if you give me a week or so I'll try and get it posted to Wattpad. I'll edit this reply to let you know when it's live and give you the link!
