I go into my prayer room (it overlooks my neighborhood) to quiet my mind and take in the sights and sounds. I usually have a pen and pad handy to capture the ideas that come to mind. It's the no stress express method. LOL

I always wanted to write about my experiences during the early days of women joining the ranks of law enforcement officers. At the time that I entered the department, women police officers were less than two percent nationwide. I was a coddled twenty-two year old and soooooo naïve. I never had a physical fight in my life, and firing a gun, puh-leeze. It was brutal, but I credit the experience for giving me the desire to never stop learning...more to come.

I adapted stories from my real life experiences as a law enforcement officer, and later a business owner. It was a totally crazy ride (you can't make this stuff up, lol).
