I walk away, take the dog out, pop into town for a coffee. If needs be take a couple of days off. I always take a few days between each step, each rewrite. Never beat yourself up... look at what you've achieved and trust that your story will continue when ready.

That's a tough one. Be brave, get the words down. Select your advice carefully - definitely find good readers, a good editor - I found a brilliant one. Rewrite lots until you can't improve it, I rewrote 10 times.

I'm working on the sequel (working title if - only) to Full Circle, about to start the second rewrite. It wasn't intended to be a sequel but my two favourite cops forced their way in.

I started the first draft 25 years ago, I blew the dust off whilst Mrs C worked in A&E. I'd always known the ending. I've always liked the idea of a second chance adult love story laced with revenge and redemption.
