When I'm spinning my wheels, I find that if I shut down the computer and get away from writing and stop thinking about it, an idea will come to me. Unfortunately, sometimes the brilliant idea presents itself after I lie down to go to sleep. Then I have to get up and jot notes to myself to prevent being unable to remember the idea in the morning.
