Garnette Mason is supposed to be Ruby Dixon (garnets are red gemstones, kind of like rubies, and the Mason-Dixon line has something to do with US geography/history that I can't remember lol) and you got the book references exactly 😁 I couldn't NOT put my girl Ruby in there when she's been so influential and important to me!
