I don't get it. Sorry. I tend to write in a huge rush, born from a desperate need to put the words down on paper. A lot of authors say this - I think, often, we are channelling from the spirit world. There are plenty of authors in spirit who are only too happy to co-operate.

I am incredibly lucky to have found a career as a full-time professional writer working with astrology and also with fiction. My last office job was aged 30 and the heaven of not having to get a train to work, or deal with constant telephone and people interruptions, or queue for sandwiches in the local shop at lunchtime is indescribable. You trade security but you win freedom.

Keep a diary. Write every day. Enter all the competitions. Walking is really good for getting ideas going, and generating enthusiasm. Running as well. When I think back, my early career as a paid writer came from those times when I returned from a long walk or run, sat down at my desk and typed.

I am working on a film called Green set against the destruction of Lake Pedder by the Tasmanian government. It's a comedy, believe it or not. I am also finishing a limited-edition version of The Secret Language of the Stars, which will be issued as a signed and numbered copy in 2021.

I am inspired to write about astrology by people on Twitter and that is where most of my predictions about Donald Trump and also COVID-19 came from since 2016. Twitter is wonderful. It keeps me in touch with what is happening in the real world even if I am working with astrology, years into the future.

The Secret Language of the Stars was inspired by readers at jessicaadams.com who wanted to know more about the astrology in three of my books: 2020 Vision, Essential Astrology for Women and Astrolove. I decided to bring the best of those three books into a new edition for 2021.
