Sarah Stonich Write the book you'd love to read. And don't take it too seriously.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Sarah Stonich I suffer the opposite of writer's block - too many books in my head to ever get written.

What are you currently working on?
Sarah Stonich A sequel to Vacationland - it's tentative title is 'Laurentian Divide' with several characters carrying over, this book is primarily set in Hatchet Inlet.

How do you get inspired to write?
Sarah Stonich I'm not always inspired. I just do it, and when I work for long enough, inspiration usually follows. To quote Tom Waits, "You gotta get behind the mule."

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sarah Stonich The guest register of an old resort - the notion of building people's stories around a place intrigued me.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Sarah Stonich Connecting with readers - it reminds me why I do this. And when I discover I've reached someone, or entertained them, or otherwise touched them, it's the greatest encouragement of all.
