The hardest part is getting the past the ugly first draft. Just write it and don't worry about how bad it is. The fun happens when you're polishing your work into something worthy, something that makes people think and feel. Once you're there, you're on top of the mountain.

The freedom to explore the human condition, through characters from all walks. That, and world building. You become the creator of your own universe, pulling strings to see what unravels. It's an enormous space, the blank page. Fill it however you want. That's what's best about being a writer.
