I think any of the stories in Compassionate Soldier or Invisible Heroes would make great movies, in part because they are based on real people. But the book I'd most like turned into a movie is Til the Boys Come Home. It's a story of abiding friendship with a sad ending. It has consistently had the most powerful enjoying impact on readers of any if my books. Thank you for asking....

Hearing from readers who like what you've written. It's interesting to see what a book means to them. I learned a long time ago that everyone reads a different book because the reader's life experiences influences how they interpret the story.

The Swiss Cheese approach. If I'm stuck, I work on something related to the writing, like ordering research material, reading books that support the writing (like true histories of the places I am setting the book), etc. All those activities have to be completed anyway, so doing so when I'm blocked gets the thoughts flowing again.
