Ann Moore Hello Terry! I'm only seeing these questions now, for some reason, so my apologies for the long wait! I'm so glad you're enjoying the trilogy, and I hope the third book ended well for you. I did a lot of research for those novels, and the rhythm of the language was the most difficult part. I read 19th century novels written by Irish authors, and I also began watching Irish period films and television series, and eventually I began to hear the correct cadence in my head. Once the characters became fully themselves, they added their own personal nuance to the dialogue. Thank you so much for writing; that was a great question! Ann Moore Hello Cathi - I must be the slowest responder on earth, lol. Just seeing this now. Thanks so much for your kind words about the Gracelin books; I'm delighted you enjoy them. I've written another novel - a contemporary saga/mystery set in the San Juan islands up here - so fingers crossed that it will be out soon. After that, I'd love to write another historical. Hope you had a wonderful time in Bellingham; it's a beautiful gem of a place. Thanks for writing, and you can find book updates, etc posted on my fbook page, Ann Moore Author. Cheers!
Ann Moore Hello Millie! Lol, glad you rescued those books, and that you ended up liking them! Since then, I've written a contemporary novel - a family saga set out in the islands up here in the Pacific Northwest - and will send it off soon. I do love historical novels, so the next book will again be set in the 19th century. I'll post updates here and on my Ann Moore Author fbook page, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for asking!
Ann Moore Hi Linda! Thanks for your note, and I'm afraid that Penguin decided to let the Gracelin books go out of print in the U.S.; thanks to Open Road Media, however, the trilogy is still available here in ebook format. Glad you got a chance to travel to Ireland - what a beautiful country it is! As for a mini-series, I too hope the books will find their way into a grand production one of these days! Thanks so much for getting in touch, and Happy Holidays! Cheers, Ann
