Gus Klein As a debut author, Telemetry came out of me as an opportunity to document my mental health. From there, I added an imaginary plot of an alternate reality that didn't happen for me. So, I figured cobble it together and see what happens.
Gus Klein I answered this in "what advice to you have for aspiring writers" before I saw this post. I would add to that answer, build good habits, including this one... "Don't believe in writer's block. Key word here is "aspiring" which means this writer is probably contending with some other aspect of life. A situation, a job. Bring these influences to your writing. In my case, I formerly worked in interior design. "Writer's Block" in my world would be the equivalent of walking into a client's house then proclaiming "...Sorry! I got nothin'!" Won't happen. Instead, I can start small with a foyer or bathroom and build out. Same goes for writing. This does not mean you will like the work. But, here the ball rolls." Good luck!
