Write, write, write. I know, sounds simplistic, but it's true. Then find a trusted critic -- friend, relative, colleague, whatever -- to read your drafts and give you an honest, no-b.b., no ego-stroking critique. Then, listen... and rewrite.

For me, it's what I've wanted to do since elementary school, so the best thing is I feel fulfilled in that regard. More importantly, I am delighted to be able to reach readers and, hopefully, provide them a satisfying experience.

I really don't get writer's block. I sometimes obsesses over word choice or the placement of a coma, but that's all a part of the process.
