My most recent book is a memoir. Two things determined that it be written. A friend, also a screenwriter, bought the option of the story of a woman whose diaries were found in the crawl space between the ceiling and the roof of the house she had lived in before her death. She had been the mistress of the Butcher of Riga, a brutal SS officer in Prague. No one knew. I have been privelidged to privately counsel people for thirty six years. They have allowed me to discuss their most intimate, frightening, ecstatic and devastating events, loves and losses. I have rarely given back. Now is that time.
