Hi, Angela. Thanks for asking! I hadn't intended to write another Dorothy Parker novel, but the character just stayed with me, even as I worked on an entirely different project. As last I started toying with the idea of a prequel and a story began to emerge. It felt like something I just needed to write. Fortunately, my publisher was interested, and so I ran with it.
