RE: Into The Mist - Empress of Ireland Do you have any detail on one of the crew who perished in this tragedy? Viz, Charles Alwyn Moore, 3rd Officer. I know he is buried in the mass grave on the bank of the St. Lawrence River and he is mentioned briefly by David Zeni in his "Forgotten Empress". He was my Great Uncle. Thank you very much for writing. Unfortunately, I do not have any information regarding your Great Uncle. You may want to contact the Empress of Ireland Museum in Rimouski, Quebec. They may be of assistance. Their email is info@shmp.qc.ca

Should you find out more information on your great uncle, I would like to know. I am writing another book on the Empress and would like to include new testimonials from relatives of passengers and crew who sailed on the Empress.
