In all honesty, it's heavily-inspired by STATION ELEVEN. Or at least the aspect of the travelling performers is. I've also long had a theory that schizophrenia is linked to telepathy and ESP, and I wanted to write a story where we're never sure if someone's hearing voices that exist only in their head, or if they're actually picking up on thoughts from those around them.

I'm inspired constantly. My only real problem is carving the time out of my life to do it!

Stay true to what you feel about what you're writing and try not to think so much about an audience until much later. You'll have plenty of time for that. You're undoubtedly a reader, and you know what you like. Everybody's always saying "write what you know" but I say "write what you like".

I don't! There's too many ideas for me to keep up with! The only time I ever feel blocked is when I'm trying too hard to work on a project that I'm just not that into at the moment (and it changes daily, if not hourly). Took me a while, but I learned to just shift gears and work on what I'm feeling. I've never been blocked since.

Main character puts off their dreams for the daily grind, hoping to get to them one day, and they get up and go to school for years until it's time to get up and go to work for years, which they do until it's time to retire, never having gotten to those dreams. The main character is you.
