Thomas Lion My true crime mystery memoir was lived. A bit tortuous to write and re write and edit having lived it and known while doing so that going underground to save honor and love and treasure would never end any way but noir. My current work is the poetic justice all these years later and set where my next work (a fiction possibly titled Grid Less Near Seattle) is as well on the side of a mountain where truth is often stranger than fiction. I have lived a colorful life and if readers approve on the new Ebook venues I will be inspired to put out many a tale. Chronicles of Lion?
Thomas Lion I have boxes of poems, stories, unfinished novels, story outlines and interviews from being the Writer Man people came to in a 7 years stay as a non violent cannabis prisoner. Fiction is fun. Truth can be trying. I have a great fiction underway for my next work after my current one gets out there. It is inspired by the life my Kiwi wife and I live on the side of a mountain off the grid and current events elements sewn into the plotline. Life inspires us to write.
Thomas Lion Just do it. Take classes early on and you will know if you and the people sharing your works think you have the natural talent or the drive to make a go of it.
Thomas Lion I wrote my Memoir I Was an Unsolved Mystery during my 7 year guest stay with the Feds for selling pot and not paying taxes. In prison it was an escape without getting tangled in barbed wire! Now it is a love and purpose I am returning to after many years with my current work depicting a season in the legal pot world finally paying the taxes on it! Writing is hard work unless you just want to say you are an outhor and put out crud. Writing is a luxury if you can find time. Tiz winter now and when May comes it will be time for a vineyard and pot farm much of my days.
Thomas Lion I get our pet Lynx Kona to unwrap my feet from his massive six toed paws then get the blue eyed boy to play and wrestle with me. Step #2, settle back in at the keys. If no flow still, go back to outline, scenes and diologue docs on my desktop and seek inspiration. Step #3 Long walk on the mountain. Step #4, open a great red wine and drink freely.
Thomas Lion Working on a yet unamed book for spring 2015 release that follows our first season as one of very few people licensed to grow legal Cannabis (weed). As a former pot war prisoner and now AARP card carrying Boomer this was a real leap of faith and poetic justice to dive into the emerging marijuana scene to save our vineyard on the side of a remote mountain whewer we live. This will be a great read for all ages and a must read for any one considering getting into the legal weed business. Its a romance and adventure story, too.
