A few years ago, I received a couple of official-looking pieces of mail addressed to an unknown-to-me individual at my address, including a credit card and IRS correspondence.
I tracked down the individual—who was local and had never been associated with my address—and sent the items to him.
Now here's the plot: At the time of these strange mailings, I was employed as the Director of Security at a local bank. Wouldn't it have been interesting if a common adversary (perhaps a fraudster I had foiled?) had stolen the other person's identity and then used my address to attempt to frame me for the crime?
