My answer to this question is ever changing because I write a lot of shorter pieces. But my next novel project will be a young adult portal fantasy revolving around dreams and sleep.

Promise Me Nothing grew out of a one-shot roleplaying game, my character's paranoia, and a major plot element that the GM threw at us. While the game did not go in the direction of my character's paranoia, I spun up a world in which it did, and wrote the book from that starting point!
