Apologies for late reply - am currently travelling and signing in was a challenge. No news on audiobooks, alas. In re writing, yes, two things on the horizon - a new Lindenshaw in first edits and a Cambridge Fellows nearing end of edits.
It's been a bit of a fallow time the last time as I've been occupied with travelling, family weddings and the two committees I sit on. Please send more days in the week!

(view spoiler)[I see you have a new Lindenshaw on the way, yipee, but, Hamish? Where's Campbell??? Do I need to worry? (hide spoiler)]

Alas, I was faced with an unenviable choice. Stop writing the series, make Campbell immortal (he was already pushing the age boundaries for Newfies) or let nature take its course. I opted for the last, which is either very brave or very foolish. It all happens off page and Hamish is the new pup on the block.

The plan, as I understand it, is for them to be available eventually. As and when I get dates, I'll try to remember to let you know.

The only places I can think of are Overdrive (are they still going?) or - and this is going back years - a place whose name escapes me but may have started Bib...

Oh yes, still in business, although they did have an issue with responses a while back (due maybe to weather-related power outages, although I may be getting confused?) I'm working on the next book in the series, which I should be submitting over the next few weeks, other projects willing.

I finally had a reply, sadly no audio news, I am very sad to hear that, they are excellent. Are a comfort I started rereading your Cambridge novellas
I finally had a reply, sadly no audio news, I am very sad to hear that, they are excellent. Are a comfort I started rereading your Cambridge novellas and had a thought, no idea if it would be possible regarding their age, they might get too old, but could a WW2 novella with the two be a thing one day?

For the first dozen books, I'm afraid you'd need to contact the publishers and ask them. For the novellas, I may be able to do something directly.

Hi Greg.
I'm guessing that the .1 and .2 books are the freebies (if you could give me the titles I'd be able to be more help to you.) All my free stories can be found here: https://charliecochrane.wordpress.com...
Yell if you need more.

Hi Daniel. Short answer is, yes. I'm currently 80% through the first draft of the next book - however this one's a crossover with one of my other series (the actor detectives, Toby and Alasdair.) Hope that helps?
Charlie Cochrane
I'm doing edits on the next one 'as we speak'. It's called Lock, Stock and Peril.

Did I answer this? Please forgive me if I didn't. I suspect this came before Old Sins (book 4) launched and I've just finished book 5. Riptide have the audio rights so you would need to ask them. :)

At present, not. They're being relaunched from Endeavour in October through to December.
Sorry about that.

Hi Debbie
It'll be re-released in a few weeks so if you try again then on Amazon you should be lucky!

Hi Megan
I am the worst person to ask this, because I always read series out of order, so I'd say 'go for it'. However, some readers have found it helps to start at number 1 and go through. Others have dipped in and out.
I'm not sure if that helps or hinders?

The latest LC Tyler John Grey mystery, some Kipling ghost stories, a reread of Agatha Christie short stories - just for starters.

Hi Lyra. The first 8 books were indeed with Samhain and they are contracted elsewhere for release later this year. Alas I'm in the position of not being able to share dates and publisher yet. (Books 9-12 are still available, with Riptide.)
I promise I'll share news about their republishing as soon as I'm allowed to.

Laurie and Andrew from 'The Charioteer'. They are so ordinary and yet so complex - and so subtly written that every time I read the book afresh I gain some new insight.

I ain't got it. Perhaps Leading seaman Goldstein has nabbed it. :)
