Lesley Williams Gardening. Cooking. Anything really, so that I can totally switch off from writing for a while and then, hopefully, regain momentum. Failing that, resort to writing the first thing that comes into your head and making a really stupid story around it. It helps to get the juices flowing.
Lesley Williams You can be the warrior, princess, King, animal... anything you can imagine, in your own story. It takes you away from the day to day boring things we have to do to survive. Plus, it helps to maintain sanity!
Lesley Williams Write anything down from dreams and thoughts and then put it away for a month or so. When you come back to read your notes, sometimes it's like you didn't even remember doing it. Then just write. Don't read back over it, and see where you end up. The most important thing is to enjoy it.
Lesley Williams I'm currently working on the next book to 'The Adventures of Hercubear,' and he'll meet new characters and some old ones. I am also trying my hand at a sort of chic lit/supernatural book, which is quite bizarre and seems to have a life of it's own at the moment. I don't know myself what's going to happen.
Lesley Williams By reading other authors. I love to read most genres and get lost in their worlds. It is like taking a sneaky look into someone's brain.
Lesley Williams My last book is an ebook on Kindle called 'The day Grandpa blew away.' It had been extremely windy and my mum had said that it was so strong that my dad nearly blew away when he got out of the car. Simple as that really.
