Bonnie Watson I think it's safe to say that most writers work on computers. I do that a lot. But sometimes if you have a physical journal to write in, that takes the brain to a whole new perspective. I find that when I hand-write a chapter and then key it into the computer that it sounds much better. It's almost like creating an initial rough draft without the care of grammar and whatnot. Then when it's typed, that's when you worry about wording it better and making sense. If you do that automatically, that's great! But sometimes we all need another way around "writer's block".
Bonnie Watson The best thing about being a writer is simply creating stories that I've wanted to read about but weren't there. And that I love sharing them with people and hearing what other writers come up with. It's a lot of fun.
Bonnie Watson I actually got the idea from watching Lord of the Rings. The third movie started off briefly showing Gollum's tragic transformation. So when I was developing the 2nd trilogy, I had the last two books planned but not enough material to do the first. Sounds weird, but it's true. So I decided to take the characters into the past and show what really happened that kicked off the whole Darkness thing.
Bonnie Watson Currently, I'm working on my fourth book in the Wisdom Novels® series called "No'va" where we follow the antagonist character to learn why he creates the Dark Unicorn.
