Gail Priest Hi! When you go on the Amazon page https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4XX16Y/..., look to the right where it says "deliver to" and click the arrow for delivery options. I see a "transfer via computer" option to click. But I own a Kindle Fire, so maybe that's why I'm getting this option. Let me know if this shows up for you. If not, we'll figure it out. Thanks for your support!
Gail Priest I'm not sure that what I experience is writer's block. I lose focus or have trouble disciplining myself. Often I'm just waiting for the characters to tell me what is going on. At times like this, I'll take a break and go for a walk or watch the birds at the feeders. If it's summer, I may go for a swim or walk the beach and collect sea glass. I have to keep listening though for when the characters start to talk again.
Gail Priest I love to watch and listen to people. My writing is very character driven. My theatre and acting background first inspired the plays I wrote. Later that translated to my writing style for my novels. I love to write dialogue. I hear and see my characters talking like a film in my head.
Gail Priest The entire Annie Crow Knoll series was inspired by a location on the Chesapeake Bay that is near and dear to my heart. Fifteen years ago, my husband and I began renting a cottage in a community of cottages nestled on the Sassafras River at the headwaters of the bay. That first summer, scenes from second book in the series began coming to me. At the time, I didn't know that it would be a trilogy. The natural beauty, the history, the artists, the cottagers, the town, the birds, and the activities people pursue there all contributed to my fictional ideas.
Gail Priest I am currently working on the third book in the Annie Crow Knoll series. Annie Crow Knoll: Moonrise will focus on Annie's granddaughters Breezy and Jemma. Annie, Packard, Nate and June will be returning in the third book. Also Annie's ex-husband Drew will reappear, along with some new characters.
