The first two that come to mind aren't romantic couples, but father-daughter couples: Jim and Buster Macauley from 'The Shiralee' and Andy and Charlie McGee from 'Firestarter'. I have no idea why they would stick with me above all else; perhaps a psychologist could work it out.
The first proper romantic couple my subconscious served up was Ralph and Lois from 'Insomnia', probably because they are unconventional romantic characters - they're both in their 60s.
