Just write. Write and write and write. Even if you think what you're writing is total rubbish, it might even be! I always think I'm writing terribly and then go I back and edit for days until I can finally put something together worth reading!

My first book 'And Then There Was Nothing', started off as a journal from my own life, so I suppose this could be considered as a mystery plot.
