Anthony Metivier I don't get writer's block and don't believe it exists. If I ever get "Thinker's Block," which is rare, I simply go for a walk or meditate. When you work with ideas all day long, they are never far away.

Plus, writing is a physical activity and one that you can develop deeply into your procedural memory simply by showing up to type something. Literally anything.

I learned to do this years ago by just showing up and typing. All you have to do is sit and type your name over and over again. Very soon something much more interesting will come.

Thanks so this this simple technique, I haven't ever had to use it for decades.

Anthony Metivier I'm working on my next book about memory techniques while revising my third novel in my Memory Detective series.

While doing this writing and revising, I'm researching the fourth book in my Memory Reborn series to follow-up on the coverage of ancient memory techniques I started with the adaptations of books by Peter of Ravenna, Jacobus Publicius and Giordano Bruno.

These are intense projects, but very fulfilling.
Anthony Metivier Waking up inspires me to write every day because I have such intense dreams. After that, it's answering all of my email. I get dozens of amazing questions from my readers every week. Each person inspires me to give my best.
Anthony Metivier When Stephan Si-Hwan Park invited me to give a presentation in Vienna about memory skills, he hooked me up with Robert Ahdoot from Yaymath.org. We did some work together on helping people memorize complex mathematical formulas and that led to the writing of How to Learn and Memorize Math, Numbers, Equations and Simple Arithmetic.
