Nancy Radke My biggest mystery right now is where I put things when I moved. I mentally try to trace my steps. Sometimes I find it right away, sometimes a year later. I haven't tried to put that in a plot.
Nancy Radke Hi Bev.
I'm happy to have a fan like you.
There are 8 novels in the Sisters series, plus the Tennessee Christmas. I do not plan any more Sisters books. Sounds like you have all of them. The Traherns is currently at 12. The two you are missing are The Loneliest Man in the Mountains #11 and the Toughest Man in the Territory #12. I have another one started, but it is going slow as I have also started a new series, The Brothers of Spirit. The first book for that one is almost done.
Nancy Radke I stop writing that story and work on one of the other two. The idea will come. Or I'll skip ahead to the next chapter, write it, then go back and make the bridge. Or I'll call Nolan, or my best writing friend, Jacquie Rogers (who has a wonderful sense of humor) and toss ideas around. A second or third imput is great, so get someone to brainstorm with, who doesn't mind if you don't use their suggestions.
Nancy Radke I can write sitting out in the sun, in the middle of the night. Ideas come at anytime, so I carry a pen with me.
Nancy Radke WRITE, join a writer's group, WRITE, go to workshops to learn your craft, WRITE.
Nancy Radke I'd like to give you title(s), but none of these have one, right now. I usually work on three books at one time. The first is a spy story set in Central America, with Owen as hero. This one is almost finished. The second is another Trahern pioneer western story, this one following Mary Trahern. It will be #13 in that family series. The third is a suspense story about a heroine who drives a Metro bus, and a policeman (Hugo's brother). It will be the second of the Brothers of Spirit stories.
Nancy Radke Stories run through my mind all the time. I just have to get them written down. It's so much fun, I don't look at it as work. It is work only when I put a deadline on myself, so I've stopped doing that.
Nancy Radke I brainstormed the plot with my son, Nolan Radke, who is also an author. I love his ideas, as he comes up with things I never would think of. I wanted a book about Owen Putman, who was one of the characters in my Sisters of Spirit series, Songs for Perri. Nolan and I are starting a new series together, Brothers of Spirit, and I wanted a strong crossover character. Hugo (who is my favorite hero) shows up to help Owen solve the mystery. This time Owen has to get Hugo out of trouble. Lots of fun to write.
