Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Will North I get this question every time I do a bookstore reading. Lately my answer has been, "Toledo." Always gets a laugh.

Thanks Will for your quick reply- no I intend to get another one right away (I love the romantic ones)- so I will have to investigate your site a bit more to see which one is best. Seems awful strange someone wouldn't want to give a picture out there?... Anyhow since I LOVED this book- you can bet I will be getting some more- finding a great writer like you is a gift to me- Please don't stop writing them!

Just curious- I found your book through serendipity- I pulled it off a shelf- looking for something and just loved the cover of the red door and green boots- and thought I'll try a new author- something about the visuals just drew me in immediately. As I put my review on the site here- I noticed it's completely different. Just wondering why they change covers?

Will North Hi there Diana! The answer is that I changed publishers. Random House shut down the division that published my first two novels, orphaning them. I got the rights back for both books, but not for the cover image. Have you read any of the other books beyond The Long Walk Home? See www.willnorthonline.com for the others.
