There is no set rule for dealing with writer's block. I find walking away from a project that I am stuck on is the best thing to do. When struggling with Desert Rose, there was a period of a whole year where I took a break and it was for the best as I returned to the project with a totally different mind set. I found long walks, socializing and reading other books was the answer. Never force yourself to write!
