Hi Charlotte just wondering where is it possible to buy the arrival book series cant seem to find it anywhere thanks ?
Charlotte McConaghy Unfortunately they're out of print, which means they're no longer available to buy. You can still find them in libraries in Australia but I'm afraid that's about it. :(

Hi Ms. McConaghy, I just wanted to say that your novel 'Migrations' absolutely blew my mind. I was wondering what the nature of your research was for the book? I imagine that all the research on birds and nautical navigation needed for the novel must have been interesting.
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Anoushka, thank you! So glad you enjoyed the book. I did indeed do a lot of research on birds and fishing boats and life at sea, ocean currents and navigation and melting ice... It was fascinating, and in fact so rich that lots of it couldn't make it into the book. Mostly I read and read and read, but I do have a couple of scientist friends who were able to help me with the trickier bits.

Hi Charlotte, My wife and I just finished Migrations. What an incredible read! I started it and told my wife she had to read it, so I got to hear it (the audible) a second time! Thank you! Any chance of this making it to the big screen (once the pandemic is over, of course)? You take care.
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Gary, thank you so much! So glad you both enjoyed it. In fact I have optioned the film rights so there are producers currently developing the film version of the book, which is very exciting :)

Hi Charlotte! May I know if Franny Stone is written based on any zodiac signs? And if yes, what is it? I was thinking of her as a Libra/Sagittarius/Scorpio, and all of these signs fall before the summer in Argentina (mating season of the Arctic Terns)
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Chantelle, I didn't have a zodiac in mind for her, and I don't know a lot about them, so I think whichever you think fits her is right!

Hi Charlotte! What's the likelihood of the Strangers of Paragor series being completed/republished? I'm starting a reread again and I'm desperate to find out how the series finally ends.
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Gabrielle, I'm really sorry but it's very unlikely. I know it sucks, not having the ending of something, and all I can do is apologise for that.

Hi! I first read the Strangers of Paragor series 8 years ago and I have been dying for the last book. From what I can tell it's not a possibility for the near future. I was wondering though if you know any way I could get a hand on the copies of the first two books. I know they're not in print right now but is there any other way to get the books, other than reborrowing them repeatedly from my local library?
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Sumya, I'm afraid I don't know of anywhere to get the books from. Now that they're out of print I don't think even I could get my hands on copies! The only chance is finding second hand copies that might still be floating around. Sorry I can't be of more help, and good luck!

I loved the Chronicles of Kaya. What I loved most is you didn't sacrificed your heroines' strength for the storyline. You were able to create strong heroines&strong storylines. I've read a lot of fantasy series' where the heroine was weak but powerful in magic for the storyline&as a woman is a bit disappointing. Please tell me you have another fantastical series in the works?
Charlotte McConaghy Thank you Mica, that's really nice to hear! At the moment I'm focusing on writing fiction, but I do still love fantasy and would one day like to return to it. My latest book 'Migrations' has a very strong female character in it too, though, so you might enjoy it anyway! :)

Early in Avery Ambrose said he loved Ava as a man and a woman, which made it seem like the only difference was gender. But at the end he says that he sometimes misses Avery but that he's still inside Ava. so does he love two people in one body or does he love and view Ava as a whole whether she's male or female? I prefer the latter. Sorry if this question makes no sense.

Hi Charlotte, was a massive fan of your Strangers of Paragor series, very sad that the third one isn't looking likely. Is there anywhere I can still purchase books one and two? I've been looking everywhere, but no luck yet!
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Jenna, unfortunately the series is out of print now, which means no new copies are in circulation. You might discover them in a library, or a second hand shop, but that's about all I can think of. So sorry!

Charlotte McConaghy Hi Ashley, I'm stoked to say that it will be going to print, January 3rd! So it's a bit of a wait, but at least it's happening!

Hello Charlotte!! I really love your The Chronicles of Kaya series, specially Thorne (OMG you left such a cliffhanger) so I was wondering when is Isadora coming out?. I can't wait to devour it!! Also, thanks for creating such a wonderful world and lovely characters. I give you my whole support!
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Andrea, thanks so much for your lovely message! I'm so glad you're enjoying the series. Isadora is finished and with the editors now, so it hopefully won't be too long. Although I can't give you an exact date, it will definitely be in the first half of 2016. Thanks again for your support :)

My daughter (now 18 but read Descent at 15) loves the Strangers of Paragor series and is wondering what the timeline is for the release of Return? I would be the best dad ever if I can get this for her for Christmas. Any luck? Dan
Charlotte McConaghy Hi Dan, thanks so much for your message. Sadly it's not looking good for the Paragor series. I'm no longer with my publisher and the books are now out of print. I basically have to work out if I want to rerelease the whole series or not, and as I've got my hands tied with several new series, it's not looking good. I've very sorry about this – it's a real shame not to have the series finished, and maybe one day I will. For now, your daughter might like to try one of my new novels, particularly if she's 18 now. 'Avery' is romantic adventure fantasy of the same genre, so she might like that. :) Charlotte
