I don’t. Not that I don’t get writer’s block, just that I don’t deal with it very well. I never have an absolute block, but I usually find other things (like laundry) more important when I’m struggling. I used to blame myself for procrastinating, but then I realized blame wasn’t making this better. For me, if I’m struggling, it’s usually because of self doubt, so I work on a project that doesn’t matter as much to me, to try and shut off the internal editor. And in the dining process, I focus on a particular goal, like adding more emotion.

The series if I continue it would be called "The Darkling Lands."

I'm so glad you're excited for the next book! I had intended Halfling to be a standalone but I'm getting comments asking for a sequels. I have an idea for her brother Tyzhur, but I'm not sure if people would rather I answer any lingering questions in a second book with Deyna as the pov character or with her being a side character in Tyzhur's book.

Thanks! I'll be taking readers' preferences into consideration. The problem right now is (although it's not in Halflng) Tyzhur is an assassin in my mind.. I'm kind of loving the idea of him spying for Zidara. I don't have a full story for Deyna developed right now.

I'm super excited about the book I'm writing now. It's draft title is The Lion's Share. It's the third book in the Chimera Chronicles and is tentatively slated to release this winter, Dec/Jan 2014-2015.
Why am I so excited? It takes place during a bank robbery. I am addicted to bank robbery shows and movies (it's weird because I am compulsively law-abiding) and my hero has been blackmailed into robbing a bank with his twin brother. The heroine is an FBI agent, so conflict, conflict, conflict, but the mating bond is stronger than than the law. It's a tricky write because it takes place in such a compressed period of time and a lot has to happen, including bringing in the hero's younger brothers (who he doesn't know exist) from Book 1 and 2.:-)
