If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Yolanda Renee Call of the Wild's Alaska. I'd get some of that gold and create my heaven on earth in Alaska's wilderness.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Yolanda Renee I just finished Jo Nesbo's book - originally published in Norway and titled Snowmannen.

Also reading, Chili Run by Stuart West and Serpents and Doves by G. Lloyd Helm. And that's just the beginning!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Yolanda Renee My entire life is full of interesting details that currently fill my books. But I think being a peacemaker has caused the most turmoil. Self-sacrifice is never rewarded.

Yolanda Renee Memories of Murder is book 2.

Murder, Madness & Love is book 1, and Murder & Obsession is book 3.

Go for a walk.
Clean house or do the laundry - drudgery gets you back to the fun in no time!

Yolanda Renee You're doing what you love. Sharing, getting feedback, and releasing all your demon's via the written word.

Yolanda Renee Write, write, write.
Read, read, read.
Learn, learn, learn.
Join a writers group, online and as well as a local group and participate. You can find local groups via meetings.com

What are you currently working on?
Yolanda Renee I'm in the middle of edits for book 3 - Murder & Obsession, publication date is March 2016.

I am also working on book 4 called Dark Motives, and I post flash fiction challenges regularly on my blog. I also just signed on with blogger/writer Denise Covey to do the WEP-Write...Edit...Publish a semi-monthly 1000 words flash fiction challenge that starts August 19 with the prompt Spectacular Settings.

How do you get inspired to write?
Yolanda Renee I've seldom needed inspiration to write, it's a compulsion, a habit, a need, and sometimes a curse. I have to put the story on paper.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Yolanda Renee I wrote all three books in my Murder trilogy at the same time. It was a progressive process, and while each story stands alone - there is a new mystery per book, and a solution to it - it has most of the same characters.

I love mystery, romance, and horror, and combined all three in my novels.
