I find the best way to deal with writers block is to either take a few days off from what your working on. or write something completely different. if you're writing a novel and writer's block hits, write some lyrics or a short story.

The idea for The Guardians of Valhalla came in part from a conversation I had with a friend about my first dog Tiny, a Chihuahua. My friend made the statement that Tiny would meet me at the Rainbow Bridge when it came time, to which I replied that I wouldn't be surprised that Tiny became the caregiver of doggie heaven. The other half of the idea came from a vivid dream I had a few weeks later, involving two Mastiffs sword fighting out in the woods. After questioning this dream, the plot for the story developed from there.
